3 BIG Credit Changes for Medical Debt

1. Starting next year, debt under $500 will no longer impact your credit score.

2. Starting on July 1st, the time period before unpaid medical debt appears on your report will increase from six months to one year

This will give people more time to work out an agreement with their insurance or healthcare provider.

3. Also starting July 1st, medical debt that went to collections and hit your credit report that was later paid or settled will be removed from your report.
